Hello, please call me Alex! I am a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, Art Therapist and Yoga Teacher. On my professional journey as a clinician I have worked in settings such as in-patient psychiatric and short-term behavioral health hospitals for adults and older adults, outpatient mental health for veterans, intensive outpatient groups for adults in addiction recovery, and in-office at a community mental health clinic. My practice is to provide a non-judgmental and affirming atmosphere to promote authentic expression in the therapy session. It is important to me that I meet my clients in the present moment, regardless of their background and their past. Making change in our lives is not an easy process, but we can learn and grow from our experiences. Our past does not have to define our future. 

 

In my free time I enjoy game nights with friends, walks in the park, experimenting with bright hair colors, and camping at music festivals. It is so important to make time to explore, play, feel grateful and feel connected.
